Fresh from Emanuel Ungaro, Dundas has given Pucci's traditonal colour-block prints and swirled tropical bikinis a subtler make-under for fall 09, placing the fashion house at the centre of many of Autumn/winter trends. Thigh high boots, neon, sequins, leather and an abundance of fur rocked down the runway in Milan last spring, creating a thoroughly modern approach to this seasons reinvention of the 80s. The glamourous gowns and fierce tailoring was like a big budget episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, and with just as much drama. There was more than a little of the Decarnin about the show too-perhaps the master of Balmain has a competitor on his hands when it comes to edgy disco fever... Definitely one of my favourite and most inspirational runway shows for this winter.</div></div></div></div></div></div></div>

I found these pics of Sass and Bide's resort collection on the Australian Vogue website and fell totally in love with the tribal meets rock n'roll collection.  I've seen pieces of the collection but never seen their amazing look book before.  Exotic prints and sumptuous textures such as feathers and velvet are given a hard edge by the lean silhouettes, angular tailoring and metal studs.  Th cult Sass and Bide black rats have also been reimagined in snakeskin to tie in with the Aztec explorer feeling of the collection.  If Kate Moss was to go dancing in the Rio carnival I reckon she'd wear something along these lines...  <br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div>

However with summer looming all this darkness is sweetened up with girlish lace, opulent jackets or just lots of glossy locks.  Charlie (second from top, left) showcases both denim and boyfriend blazers, two of this summers biggest trends, to create a casual and understated look.  The neutral grey heels inject some chic to the look while the loose style and turned up sleeves of her vintage tan blazer keeps the look laid back and relaxed enough for a summer evening.  I'm so jealous of that amazing jacket especially when she revealed it cost a mere two euros!  The little lace dress I'm wearing (top) is over a year old and yet still feels just as current this summer as it did last year and is perfect with my trusty biker jacket.  girly mini dress with lots of black...my standard go to. However these Topshop Temperley copy leopard print harems have got me convinced to the extent I'm about to buy mine online now. Unlike so many Harems the animal print on these give them a bohemian, laid back vibe that works day and night; by day their ibiza in a trouser and by night they perfectly balance out tailoring and heels. Wanted to team the nightime side with the black version of the nude Aldo heels I featured in my last post but polyvore wouldn't let me clip them for some reason...but I think these topshop spiky numbers are pretty good all the same.
