However Thomas Nutzl's editorial in this month's UK Elle demonstrates the new breed of white. Styled by Anne-Marie Curtis, the shoot combines futuristic, abstract pieces with delicate broderie anglaise and sheer lace, demonstarting the modern approach to white which is both classic, feminie and modern. Acne's white ripped skinny jeans are also an example of how this summer's penchant for white is edgier and a little less suagr coated. As big fan of the dark side, donning the bright and white could be a little bit daunting, however this gorgeous Balmain jacket has thoroughly converted me. Leather, studded and boyfriend blazer style, this jacket could definitely tear me away from my trusty black biker jacket. At over £2,000 it's a little out of my price range so I might try and hunt down topshop's sold-out cream lether, gold studded biker jacket on ebay instead...</div>

The stunning grecian dress she wore to the Elle and HnM style awards 2009 is soft and romamtic and yet she looks equally at home in PVC leggings and biker boots. With those legs its no surprise she's a fan of shorter hemlines, often going for statement dresses, such as this Peter Pilotto dress (top, centre image), that are played down with black heels and tailored jackets. What I like the most about her is her chameleon ability to surprise and experiment whilst still maintaining a gorgeously glossy sophistication no matter what she wears.<br /><div></div></div></div></div>
